movie review - Rush Hour

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-seven years and one million words

Toronto, 1999.03.12

This movie stinks. Chan is underutilized, and it's pretty clear that the two leads were fighting during filming. Their is zero chemistry, and chemistry is the only thing that could have saved this cheesy knock-off of Beverly Hills Cop. The action is boring, the plot uninteresting. I wish Chan better next time, and hope I don't see Tucker again (hoping against hope, yeah?).

Not recommended.
