The woman in this photo worked for the government's "Parks and Recreation" department. She was attempting to ski to the top of Citadel Hill in Halifax in the aftermath of a one-in-a-lifetime blizzard that had dumped a full meter of snow on us the day before. The only other person crazy enough to be out there was of course yours truly. When we met I told her, "I've just run out of film." She handed me a role and said, "gratis the federal government."
