Joe Queenan is a movie critic. This book is a collection of his rants about movies and the people who make them. In these essays, he admits to being a pretentious asshole, and lives up to those words through incessantly savagery of all things Hollywood, and the liberal use of French words. He seems to have seen just about every flick that's come out in the past several decades, and has an impressive depth of knowledge from which to cast his sneering disregard. I guess that's a critic for you.

I enjoyed the book and have since found some interesting stuff on the Internet by and about Queenan (such as the 9.5/10 rating that all of six people gave his $7000 movie on imdb.com).

Worth reading if you watch a lot of flicks.
