This is my first successful night-time shot. I had never owned a remote shutter-control gizmo before (Thanks toKen for his), and created this with a thirty-second exposure. As you can see, I was photographing a suburban residential neighbourhood across some water (the English Bay). I think it's about a kilometre and change across. It was also overcast, which is why the sky and water appear slightly reddish.
