Toronto, 2019.03.19For about seven years, I was involved in a non-profit aimed at cycling safety. By the time I took this photo - and countless others - I was serving on their board of directors. You can see that despite all the effort to get bike lanes built, the city still didn't care in the slightest.
Passing parked oversized trucks like this is one of the most dangerous positions for a cyclist. I've personally fallen on one occasion when I was forced onto the broken concrete around disused street car tracks on Queen Street.
