three thousand years old

Toronto, 2011.03.13

This arrowhead was given to me when I was nine. My mother's grand-uncle had found it on his property. Or if not him, then one of his predecessors. A fair ways back, anyway. Nothing compared to the tool's age, though. It's an "Early Woodland" piece that was probably made well to the north-west of Niagara and sold as a blank for local finishing and use. I made this image in my flatbed scanner.
