We rode the maglev into town from the airport. It took something like 7 minutes. During the day, the trains are supposedly allowed to get up to 430kph. Ours was an evening train, and therefor slower. When the maglev passes the other train mid-trip, it's like the train has hit something, a sudden pounding sound. Then it's all past. With a combined relative speed of 600kph it's amazing we even get that much of a show.
