Nova Scotia, 2003.10.28That dark smudge in the distance is what we decided was a sea lion. The things had drifted towards us from farther up the beach when they spotted us atop the bank. By the time I dragged my camera out, they were no longer lying stretched out just beneath the water and watching us with curiousity. No, by then they'd drifted away, dived away, or otherwise become considerably less photogenic.
I decided to give it a whirl anyway, and managed to catch one of them in the same frame as the beach. Whoopee!
