balls falls in winter

Niagara Peninsula, 2011.01.31

Balls Falls near St. Catharines in winter. The freeze-thaw cycle is one of the major contributors to the carving and shaping of the gorge. It's not obvious from this photo but there was a fair amount of water still flowing here. I used to study this sort of place when I attended Brock.
