I found this tiny snake on a path in the Don Valley in Toronto. In the Autumn, the snakes come out onto the warm pavement to soak up some heat from the sun as well as the pavement itself. (photo note: it almost looks like I shot this with a reversing ring to get a macro effect ... certainly none of my lenses has that sort of blurring and distortion at the edges of the frame when mounted normally.)
