I got lucky with this one. You'll note, in this blown up scan, the ferry's pilot standing astride the gap between the dock and the ferry. He was standing in that position throughout the exposure, which is why he's visible. None of the dozen or so passangers that emerged from the ferry turn up, even though a number of them passed under the lamps.
