This was taken at one of those touristy places that tours like ours like to stop. Australia has the world's only disease-free camel population, which is funny since it all derived from camels brought in from the Middle East. Anyway, this place offered rides. I stayed the hell away from that, but got some good pics. I wouldn't call this a *good* photo, but I like it. The composition, choice in depth-of-field, and odd subject behaviour come together to make this one of my favourites. What the hell was ara (my ex) doing? What's going through that camel's mind? Note Charlie's bizarre stance in taking that photo. If he's anything like me, he's probably making the most of a getaway from the van to pass some gas....
