The Chao Phrya river bisects the city. It was at its yearly highest while we were there, a turgid grey-brown in colour and bursting its banks. River ferries make one of the more useful ways of getting around (unlike tuk-tuks, the three wheeled means of mis-transport). We were on such a ferry, and I took this pic of the right bank's new hotels under overcast and "godlight".
