Japan has several bicycle wheel standards in common use, as this photo indicates. 27" and 26" were the long-time standards but some of the power-assist bikes now have different-sized front and rear wheels. Most of the tubes this shop had were 27" or 700c. Riders of 29" bikes in Japan might have to go to Amazon.
