Location: Miyazaki
In Nichinan, there is a shrine that I visit whenever I'm in town. It's set in a water-hewn cave way out at the town's edge along the rocky point where the river meets the sea. I've found myself going on my own for each of the last three visits (in 2010, 2012, and now 2018). I visit by bike, since I left my beloved Tokyo commuter ride with Mari's parents when we moved.
