movie review - A Million Ways to Die in the West

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-seven years and one million words

Toronto, 2018.12.29

As I was watching this, it began to dawn on me that it was mostly just alternating shots of two people speaking. So I started moving the old slider and found that yes, that was the large majority of the movie. The two leads speaking directly at each other.

I gave up due to the unfunny hamming, the lack of at least some compelling action that comes with the Western genre, and yes, the talking.

Not recommended.

rand()m quote

Selfish leaders increase risk by placing themselves first. It's a fundamental mistake to assume that what is good for us personally is mutually exclusive to what is good for everyone. That kind of zero-sum game is for cowards, and in the end, we all pay the price for this type of latent, toxic leadership.
