movie review - London Has Fallen

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-seven years and one million words

Toronto, 2018.02.24

This is an action movie, a follow-up of sorts to another with a similar title and the same bluff lead. It's not good. It's just not good.

In fact, I'll summarize it like this: there is one mostly-excellent action sequence mid-way that you can probably find on Youtube. The rest is formulaic flag-waving crap from the land of the free. I'm sure the MAGA crowd eats it up (but might be vaguely confused as to where in the US London is situated). Anyway, crap.

Not recommended. Avoid.

rand()m quote

Remove everything that has no relevance to the story. If you say in the first chapter that there is a rifle hanging on the wall, in the second or third chapter it absolutely must go off. If it's not going to be fired, it shouldn't be hanging there.
