Following a large rainstorm on the weekend, the septic tank at the cottage we're renting seemed to have filled up. We got ahold of the owners, who came out to check the intake filters and sure enough, they were clogged. Given that it was the long weekend, none of the contacts we'd had in the owner's manual had been available, so it was an antsy couple of days.
So it goes, with cottage life.
