When The Boy noticed that I was transferring a small hard drive from one laptop to another, and saw that the drive being replaced was a different color and size, he studied the two objects for a moment and asked, "is that the same sort of thing?" That's some good conceptual ability, and at the same time correct English. What a difference this past year has made to his skills!
