twenty-seven years and one million words

St. Catharines, 2011.10.07

It's well over 20ºC, where a week before it was 8ºC—this year's weather has been crazier than ever.

I took the day off to recuperate from the exhausting process of the audit we've just come through. The final two weeks of the past eight months have been particularly grueling, as I had to perform about a hundred follow up tasks in a few days, many of them non-trivial.

We'd decided to visit Grandma for the weekend, and I went downtown to pick up a car only to have to take a nap at 09:30 when I returned with the thing. I think it's going to be a slow weekend.

rand()m quote

You have to choose between trusting to the natural stability of gold and the natural stability of the honesty and intelligence of the members of the Government. And, with due respect for these gentlemen, I advise you, as long as the Capitalist system lasts, to vote for gold.

—George Bernard Shaw
