degrees of evil

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-seven years and one million words

Oakville, 2011.01.23

Rush Limbaugh, who I think is the American entertainer who gave Canada the nickname "Soviet Canuckistan" has finally come up with another keeper.

According to the Doonesbury website, he said, "When I hear Chinese or Japanese, it sounds like all the same word. And I can't comprehend anybody understanding it."

Remarkable. I also can't comprehend the insane degree of willful hate an harm that some people spread.

An excellent example: upon returning to Oakville, today I learned that the police were doing the rounds. It seems there's a rapist operating in the city's south. He's of the fabled type that watches houses to track the activity of the people therein, then he enters the house when he's sorted out that the young woman of the home is alone. Pathetic.

rand()m quote

If a person has ugly thoughts, it begins to show on the face. And when that person has ugly thoughts every day, every week, every year, the face gets uglier and uglier until you can hardly bear to look at it. A person who has good thoughts cannot ever be ugly. You can have a wonky nose and a crooked mouth and a double chin and stick-out teeth, but if you have good thoughts it will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely.
