muddy dogs and other things

the journal of Michael Werneburg

twenty-seven years and one million words

Halifax, 2004.03.03

One of my favourite things in the whole wide world happened today. In the park, a muddy dog came running across the snow and jumped up on me, leaving big muddy prints all over my jacket, pants, and boots. I cursed the owners of the thing (at least those owners spared me the "Oh, he's never done that before," bleating).

Happily, I was wearing my leather jacket and not my cloth parka, so the mud cleaned right off after drying. And when I got home there was a slip from Canada Post telling me that the lens I bought on Ebay had arrived. The lens isn't quite in the shape that the guy advertised (it isn't black anymore, as if it has spent a great deal of time in the sun). But the optics are good and the mechanics (the focus and aperture rings) are good. This weekend I get to use it cos Tracey arrives.
